Two Uzbek football giants – “Bunyodkor” and “Pakhtakor” has been drawn to face in Oliy liga first math day. All teams are equl now with no points and it makes the derby much more interest. “Bunyodkor” signed two former “Pohang Steelers” strikers Denilson and Ristic and “Pakhtokor” top defender Anzur Ismailov, while “Pakhtakor” signed new head coach Radulovic and several Balkan players. Uzbek and Asian football publicity awaiting for the math with great interest and now we would like to remind you two Uzbek giants’ matches history.

2007 season was debut on top level, while “Pakhtakor” celebrated his last champions triumph, and both matches between “Bunyodkor” and “Pakhtakor” finished in draw.  First match finished 1:1. Luschan scored opening goal from penalty spot and Magdeev equalized on 85 minutes. Second tie finished in goalless draw.

On 2008 “Bunyodkor” celebrated his first champion trophy but could not beat “Pakhtakor” in championship. Both matches finished in draw again. On first round match Villanueva gave “Bunyodkor” the lead, but Geynrikh equalized on 57 minutes, after he missed a penalty several minutes earlier. Second match ended with the same score, but this time Djeparov wasted a penalty, saved by  Ignatiy Nesterov. Villanueva brought early lead for “Bunyodkor” but Zainiddin Tadjiev equalized on additional time.

At last “Bunyodkor” beat his principal rival on 12 July 2009 on “Jar” arena. Despite “swallows” defender Hayrulla Karimov had been sent off on 27 minutes, “Bunyodkor” saved advantage, he got after Asror Aliqulov own goal. Jasur Hasanov scored second on 58 minutes, and Geynrikh goal gave no profit for “Pakhtakor”. Second round match had no influence for teams’ position Final Table. But two Tashkent city sides’ matches are always interesting for fans. “Bunyodkor” actually settled his second champion trophy, while “Pakhtakor” had no worry about silver medals. Match finished in goalless draw.

So, “Bunyodkor” and “Pakhtakor” drawn five matches and only one match had been settled to “Bunyodkor” - 2:1. Goals ratio is 5 – 4 to “Bunyodkor”. Actually, we are about great match today. Welcome to “Jar” arena.
