FC “Bunyodkor” head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari and team top midfielder Server Djeparov answered journalists’ questions in pre match press conference second part.

- “Al-Ittihad” is very strong team and we respect the rival very much. They are last ACL tournament finalists and it shows this club’s strength – said «Bunyodkor» head coach.

- We played our starting match in new season against very strong team, but myteammates and I want to give joy to our fans – said Server Djeparov. 

- What’s reason to stay Stevica Ristic out of “Bunyodkor” ACL 2010 roster?
Scolari: - We signed two defenders and two forwards during winter transfer period. Ristic is a footballer such as his teammates. Head coach prepares team for matches and he is responsible for team results. If team gets bad result, I will be responsible for it, but all our victories belong to footballers. When I decide team roster for ACL, I consider all factors such as players’ current condition, players work during the training camps and etc.

- What’s reason to include Joao Victor to “Bunyodkor” ACL roster?
Scolari: - Rivaldo and Melziddinov were injured and they both needed some time to restore their conditions. So, I decided not to change midfielders. If we will have strong attack, but poor midfielders that would be benefit for us? Head coach is always responsible for team result.   

- Has Rivaldo ability to play on such high level in this season too?
Scolari: - Yes, Rivaldo rehabilitated from injury and he is getting his best conditions step by step. He is very important for our team play.

- What could you say about your team today’s conditions?
Djeparov: - We are just about to start new season. We played several exhibition matches during winter training camps. Our team plays better match by match.

- “Bunyodkor” hasn’t played any official match in current season yet, while “Al-Ittihad” has already played rather much. Is it good for your team or not?
Scolari: - Yes, you are right. We played several exhibitions matches during training camps, but we played no official match. Official matches are much more important, than friendlies. And “Al-Ittihad” played very many matches, because Saudi championship is on finishing stage, while Uzbekistan hasn’t started yet. If match plays two months later, we would be in optimal conditions. Anyway, my players will do their best to get good result and give joy to the fans. 

- How do you think, can we see watch Argentina and Brazil competition tomorrow?
Scolari: - During World Cups Brazil and Argentina always play in different groups and if they face in play-off, fans could see amazing match and nice football. I have played more than 100 matches against Argentina for my career. We won about 50 matches and lost the same. We always respected each other and never fought, but there were many conflicts between our fans. Every rival is same for me, no matter who he is.       

- Your tomorrow rival is one of Asian top teams…
Djeparov: - We must win tomorrow and we aren’t afraid of rival strength. I’m sure but two or at least one semifinalist will be from our B group.

- What result are you awaiting?
Scolari: - Of course, I’m awaiting for win. We should win and give joy to our fans. Draw wouldn’t be big tragedy for us, but we going on the field only for win. I repeat, that my team plays better match by match.

- Have you researched “Al-Ittihad” well?
Scolari: - Yes, I have watch more than ten “Al-Ittihad” matches on DVDs, I also watched our rival’s matches during “Bunyodkor” camps in UAE. Besides, club media office gave me useful statistics about to “Al-Ittihad” players.
